Easy Grilled French Bread
Grill Up Some Bread
Grill recipes don’t have to be difficult to be delicious. We make some advanced dishes on the grill or in the smoker, but we also enjoy many super easy barbecue favorites.
One super easy treat on the grill is Easy Grilled French Bread Loaf. We just wrap up the bread and put that over the heat while the meat is resting. If you’re not familiar with the term “resting,” that’s when you leave the meat for a bit before eating. That allows the flavors to sink in and the juices to “set.”
Here’s how to make Easy Grilled French Bread Loaf:
• 1 full size loaf of French bread
• ½ cup butter or margarine (soft)
• 1 tsp garlic salt or powder
• 1 TBS parsley flakes
• 2 TBS Parmesan cheese
Slice the loaf of French bread, but don’t cut all the way through.
Mix the seasonings in the butter or margarine. Then, spread the mixture between the cuts in the French bread loaf.
Wrap the French bread in tin foil. Place it on the grill and heat. The time varies, but it generally runs about 15 minutes over medium heat. It helps to put the lid on, since that makes the grill act like an oven for heating.
Easy Grilled French Bread goes well with most any grilled meats or even seafood. Most people appreciate some bread with a meal, and my guys love to have some bread hot and buttery to go with grilled foods. The boys also Barbecue Texas Toast which is another really easy bread grill dish.
