Stubb's Barbecue Celebration
- November 2008
Sabina sent me this news release from Stubb's. If you've never tried Stubb's Bar-B-Q sauce, you really should. It's the best bottled barbecue sauce I've tried - sweet with a nice twang at the end. Yum! I've been looking for a BBQ sauce like this one for ages.

STUBB’S BAR-B-Q CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF SPREADING
“LOVE AND HAPPINESS”
To Celebrate, The Company Is Donating Briskets And Bar-B-Q Sauce To Families At Fort Hood
Austin, TX (November 18, 2008) This November, Stubb’s Bar-B-Q is celebrating 40 years of good friends, great music and legendary food; and barbecue lovers couldn’t be happier. C.B. “Stubb” Stubblefield’s famous sauces have always been the perfect condiment that brought to life a fantastic meal and completed an unforgettable grilling experience. Four decades later, not a whole lot has changed. Nestled in the heart of Texas, Stubb’s Bar-B-Q is still synonymous with authentic Southern flavor, fabulous sauces, great friends and many nights of soulful music.
In honor of their 40 year anniversary and Stubb’s valiant service in the 96th field artillery during the Korean War, Stubb’s Bar-B-Q will be donating 40 Smoked Sliced Briskets and 40 bottles of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce to families at Fort Hood, Texas for the holidays. Stubb’s Bar-B-Q appreciates the hard work of the troops and would like to present the families with an authentic taste of Texas to include them in the celebration.
Since its start in 1968, Stubb’s Bar-B-Q has provided food enthusiasts around the world with outstanding smoked meats, marinades, spices and snacks – to name a few. Available in a variety of flavors, these products add the necessary tang and spice to any meal. With flavors ranging from the Original Bar-B-Q Sauce (tangy tomato paste with a kick of vinegar and a kiss of molasses) to the Wicked Wing Sauce (savory blend of habanero pepper, molasses and spices), Stubb’s Bar-B-Q products own the reputation of being the best.
“Today, Stubb’s is very proud to be offering the same authentic, rich and flavorful Texas Bar-B-Q that it did when Stubb first opened the doors at his original restaurant in Lubbock, Texas in 1968. Over the years our products have become a fundamental part of Southern cuisine, easily available nationally and internationally. We’ve had a great 40 year run and hope to make the next 40 even better.” said Stubb’s CEO, Scott Jensen.
Over the years, Stubb’s has become a barbeque dynasty; complete with a major Austin restaurant, a wide range of sauces, marinades and spice rubs, and an online smoked meats delivery business. With Stubb’s in mind, 40 never looked so good! For more information, please visit www.stubbsbbq.com.
The recipe for a great barbecue doesn’t start with its ingredients on a piece of paper, but with the heart to create something great, a flavor that people will always remember. Born in the heart of Texas, Stubb seemed to always know the recipe that made people tick- good music and great food. With that in mind, he created his first Bar-B-Q joint, Stubb’s Barbecue, in Lubbock, Texas. Later, he followed his friends to Austin to continue combining meats, sauces, desserts and great live music. To this day, Stubb’s stays true to its tradition of the best barbecue in the nation.
